  • 80s away days

Please can we have numerous people placed around the outside of SJP with tannoys and tell the people who are still going that they are killing our club. Let’s use the posters and put them everywhere. If you go on holiday get photos at landmarks with the posters in hand. Let the man see what he has created. You started Ashley we will finish you!

    • Grunta

Good idea’s m8 but the tannoy will just make them go in more! People hate being told what to do so they do the opposite and mutter “no one’s going to tell me” they need to do it with their own minds and as we have found out it’s taking longer than we would like!!

      • 80s away days

We can do this, at last I feel people are waking up. We have very little left, so let’s not respect what doesn’t give us respect back

        • Grunta

Agreed, I feel the tide is turning in our favour at last!

          • The tide turning is one thing but keeping it going is a lot more difficult, its like getting to the top of the league, harder to stay there. Public opinion is with us at the moment , we need to strike now.

          • Oval85

I wish my home was Newcastle and not Norway, if so i would stand outside the ground like St. James’ muppet with banners and physically stop people from going inside the stadium…
Hopefully people will sooner rather than later understand that this pie-lover is about to destroy our club!
Honestly, i think he allready has, and it needs years of rehabilitating to get back on track!

          • Michael Calvert

great things will need to be done but better to have tried than not tried at all some got a sniper i can borrow lol i want to shoot him in his go-nads then he can be strung up in newcastle city centre that would be just a little as to what he deserves keep up the fab work hopefully someone will make him an offer and build up a decnt team with pride and effort

          • Michael Calvert

go to the ground and let him know what is going on and stay in the stadium make him pay more staff and tell him until he sells we wont stop

    • taters3

My sense is that it’s better to pull them in than push them away. Coax and invite them in, don’t shoo them away with shame.

  • can I suggest a get in touch page I’ve ran a site like this wrote articles etc etc anything I could do to help I would be more than happy. One suggestion straight off the bat try to unite all the forums and websites around there are too many all in different directions. Just a thought.

    • taters3

Yeah, unity is something to be cultivated and worked on. Pull together, not apart…

  • Leazes Ender

Can I suggest that the Hall and Shepherd families might like to make a large anonymous contribution to the cause, as they are responsible for selling our heritage to this Cockney Chancer!

And if Ant and Dec are reading this….you’re not short of a few bob!

    • Reg Burlam

Haha you’ll be surprised at how quickly visible people will distance themselves and go missing when action is needed. Actually you probably won’t.

    • Mrkgw

Agree Leazes Ender, John Hall is not absolved of blame for his part in this mess. He, after all, sold the club down the river to Mike Ashley. Meanwhile, Shepherd lay helpless on his sick bed (by all accounts)…….

      • Ian L

Don’t ever become a historian. John Hall saved the club, which was going nowhere under Shepherd and no one objected when Ashley came in with plausible plans

  • deanzy1

the tide is turning ashley.we will get you out

  • 1984

I am one of those so called “muppets” who go into SJP bi-weekly and have heard myself saying “support the team not the regime”. However even I have had enough. I am willing to support any non-violent action to rid our club of this odious (i hesitate to say) man. I agree that people do not like being told what to do and have to make up their own minds, I also agree that staying out of the ground is a non starter for some people. How about a take on the “Poznan” and have a minute of turning our backs it would look great on TV and could coincide with the 17th minute applause for Liam and John? or what about a quiet protest like a minutes silence during the game? I’m sure we could liaise with the other teams supporters in some way.

Ashley’s one weak spot is his need for power and control and he gets this through money. We can take his power and control away even if we cant take his money. We have the power to make his brand toxic through protest and propaganda. He is everything that is wrong with this country, zero hours, bully boy tactics, no moral compass and most of all no regard for his fellow humans.
In the north east we don’t ask for much and expect even less but the one thing that should not be tolerated is anyone taking liberties with our club, its our club and we should take it back!!!!

    • Lewis Wilson

I feel some people should do a starvation protest. It worked with company’s unrelated to football plus Ashley won’t want the blood of a club and a human on his hands right

      • John Flannigan

Lewis Wilson…. You go ahead and starve yourself mate. Good Luck

    • Reg Burlam

Good on you mate, it seems people are willing to try something. Those who moan and whinge and aren’t willing to do anything about, fair enough that’s their prerogative. But they deserve what they are given, they can have no justified complaint.

What I can’t abide is those saying ‘oh nothing will change, what’s the point etc’ and chastise those who are willing to stand up for what they believe in. All I can say to those is its a bloody good thing they weren’t in the trenches.

  • Matt

Are the club in profit and debt free now?

  • Alex

One of the best ways to ensure this boycott is a success is to contact the breweries and city / region pubs.

Get them all selling beer at Happy Hour prices all Monday night, and fans will flock to watch the game on the pub tv screens.

    • taters3

      Very good idea.

  • Martin Howard

Hey Geordies, your owner saved your club not from administration but liquidation, took it back into profit, sorted out one of the best scouting and recruitment structures ever seen in the English leagues and sells players on at a profit to big clubs…

    And you moan?

I hope you go bust and lose your club, you deserve it about as much as you deserve Pardew.

    • Emma Gray

because we constantly sell all these players and end up with no replacement we have a rookie manager who cant mange kids because ashely so tightfisted he wont even get a half decent manager he always goes for cheap options carver and mike ashley r dumb and dumber. club going backwards i cant watch how rotten the club is now its sad and we must at last try to get the club back

      • Martin Howard

Freddy Shepherd left you with a financial deficit bigger than Greeces (Yes I am exaggerating, it wasn’t really that big but it was awful). Only 1 man steppd forward to save your club and unlike the Glazers or most other owners, he did it with his own money, not investor cash or refinancing, his own money.

Pardew is one of the best young (ish) managers in the EPL and if he gets the Lyon manager in the summer he’s done incredibly well so let’s not argue over managers, actually lets do it…

In the hire and fire world of the EPL only one gives his manager a ridiculously long contract and abides by it, only one sticks with a manager through relegation to guide the team back up, only one sticks with Carver through some abysmal results, he is in terms of managers the best owner in the league, in fact probably in Europe.

Let me talk to you about income and your budget, I know up North you vote Labour and think that spending money you don’t have is a viable way to run things… If you’d gotten your way and could go back in time and stop MA you’d have no club, forget administration, it was almost liquidated. Man Utd fans chant and complain about the huge debts their club has racked up, you’ve got a stable club with money in the bank, protection from financial rainy days and you complain because there is money in the bank?!

Every club wants better players, you’re a mid table premier team, always have been and unless you get a sheikh you always will be… Keegan & Robson artificially inflated your position by being awesome managers… That and the money pumped in at Chelsea, City, United and Liverpool changed the landscape of the league.

If you hadn’t have chased Pardew out you’d be mid table now, have you learned? Nope, you’re chasing out the one man that keeps you with a club to complain about!!

While we’re on players, the scouting network he’s overseen the creation of is one of the best in the world and yes you are going to have to sell your best players on to big clubs (which you aren’t).

NCFC fans deserve MA to leave and the club fold, wanna watch football after that? Go to Sunderland or Middlesbrough… Yep MA is saving you from that choice right now, you should be on your knees begging for his mercy not kicking the man.

        • Ian L

Do some simple research. It might prevent you from making an utter fool of yourself, though I doubt it.

          • Martin Howard

I did, you might want to too, in particular look at the state of the clubs finances when he took over… £1 ring any bells? Huge debts, struggling, nearly bankrupt etc etc.

          • Ian L

Did all this research discover a single FACT?
What was the debt when Ashley took over? How was it made up?
What is the debt today? Where does it reside? And why?

      • Martin Howard

You can’t say that any more can you Emma? I was right, admit it…

PS You deserve liquidation for the way you’ve treated your owner/saviour.

    • Ian L

A little knowledge (or in your case erroneous knowledge) is a dangerous thing.

      • Martin Howard

NCFC Fans are dangerous for their own club… Most other fans are amazed at how awful you’ve been to the guy that saved your club.

    • Leazes Ender

      No he didn’t

      • Martin Howard

Err, yes he did, learn to count.

  • Mrkgw

Best of luck with this campaign to rid our club of this despicable, incompetent and intolerable regime. Keep up the pressure!

  • Ian L

There is a real danger that ventures like these descend into a talking shop. You must devise a strategy for action….Boycott season ticket sales, a national boycott of his stores, and a petition to local MPs and the home affairs committee asking for an examination of ownership of football clubs in general and Newcastle United in particular (More supporter involvement at clubs, a stricter examination of owners, and a protest that NUFC seem no longer to operate as a traditional football club, but more a branch office of Ashley’s company)
